Solar System

In Room 2 this term we have been learning about the planets in the Solar System.  We watched some videos on Youtube that showed us lots of information about Mercury and Venus.

The Water Cycle

This year Room 2 has been investigating the Water Cycle.  Today we carried out an experiment to demonstrate evaporation and condensation...

We put water into a pot.  We put the pot on a stove and watched what happened.

There was heaps of steam coming out.  The water was very, very hot.

At first there was lots of water in the pot.  After a few minutes there was a bit less.  At the end, there was no water left in the pot!

We saw the water was gone.  It had disappeared!

It had evaporated!  Next time it rains perhaps the water from the pot will fall down on Netherton School from the sky.
